Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. It is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child.
What's Included?
Our curriculum includes:

- recognizing letters and letter sounds

- sorting
- recognizing and naming shapes
- recognizing and naming colors
- writing letters and numbers
- rhyming
- cutting
- following directions
- naming weather patterns
- singing
- dancing
- drama
We focus on one topic a month like family, emotions, camping, winter, etc. we also do circle and calendar time. Social and self-help skills are worked on continuously.
We will hold performances throughout the year consisting of singing, dancing and/or drama.
Gramma's House Family Child Care and Preschool has been a blessing to our family. I love that I can go to work and not worry about my children. I know they are in a safe, loving enviroment where they are loved and cared for. My five year old daughter started going there when she was only one. She would come home each day having learned something new or had the cutest art project to show off. Now my 2 month old daughter will get to enjoy and learn like Kaylee did. I will never be able to thank them enough for the love and kindness they have shown my family. My daughter is a very nice, respectful little girl and I have Miss Sandy to thank for that!
Having my daughter attend Gramma's House made going back to work after being a stay at home mom for a number of years a whole lot easier. It was immediately apparent that she would be spending the day in a very loving family centered home, with structure and plenty of things to do. I felt confident and reassured in having her attend there. She was eager to get to "Sandy's House" as she called it every morning but was just as happy to see me in the evening! A perfect combination for a working mother!
our daughter felt so at home at Gramma's House Family Child Care and Preschool that when we dropped her off, even though she was only 18 months old, she would immediately head off to play as though we weren't even there. We felt just as safe leaving her there. The care we excellent and the house was always clean and hazard-free. They were always willing to take her on short notice if we both got called into work, and they were very accommodating with early mornings or late evenings. We would recommend Gramma's House Family Child Care and Preschool to anyone in the Fountain area.
My daughter, 12, and son, 11, have been cared for by members of the Cummings Family, who have run their child care program for five years, since she was a toddler and he was an infant. Pat Cummings , and her daughters, Felicia, Sandy, Angela, and Lisa all have extensive experience in the child care field and , what to me is even more important, they truly care about children. Children enrolled in Gramma's House Family Child Care and Preschool receive a hands-on education experience in a nurturing, structured environment-just what young children need. When I leave my children with them for child care, I have absolute confidence that they are in the best hands possible-it is like leaving them with family.
